Announcement from the Japan Neuroscience Society regarding the call for research award applications.
“The 10th Joseph Altman Award in Developmental Neuroscience, 2026 ” has been established to honor the achievements of Dr. Joseph Altman, the discoverer of “neurogenesis in the adult mammalian brain” and a recipient of the International Prize for Biology.
Application Deadline：January 31, 2026 (applications must arrive by this date)
Eligibility requires that applicants have obtained their doctoral degree within 20 years (in principle) as of the application deadline. This award is not limited to members of the Japan Neuroscience Society; anyone meeting the criteria may apply. We warmly welcome applications from young researchers, both domestic and international, who are driving the advancement of neuroscience.
