Article 1 (Purpose) The purpose of these regulations is to establish matters related to awards and encouragement (hereinafter referred to as “awards”) conducted by the Japan Human Brain Mapping Society (hereinafter referred to as “the Society”).
Article 2 (Types of Awards) The Society shall present the following awards:
(1) Early Career Presentation Award
(2) JHBM Award
Article 3 (Early Career Presentation Award)
1. Purpose: This award is established to encourage research activities of excellent early-career members who will lead the future of human brain mapping research.
2. Eligibility: Those who are within 10 years after receiving their doctoral degree or those who are expected to obtain their doctoral degree (including students) on the first day of the annual meeting. Consideration will be given to research interruption periods due to childbearing, delivery, childcare, or nursing care. There is no age restriction.
3. Selection Method: The Early Career Presentation Award selection committee appointed by the president of the Japan Human Brain Mapping Society Annual Meeting shall conduct the evaluation. The evaluation methods and criteria shall be separately established.
4. Award Presentation: Recipients will receive a certificate and supplementary prize from the Annual Meeting President.
Article 4 (JHBM Award)
1. Purpose: The JHBM Award aims to honor individuals who have made significant contributions or rendered distinguished service to brain mapping research or the Society’s activities.
2. Eligibility: The award is open to members of the Society or equivalent individuals who have made special contributions or rendered distinguished service to brain mapping research or the Society’s activities.
3. Selection Method: Selection shall be made by the Japan Human Brain Mapping Society Awards Committee from the candidates nominated by regular members.
4. Evaluation Criteria: Judgment shall be based on significant contributions or distinguished service that have led to major developments in human brain mapping research or the Society’s activities, and their impact and influence on our field. .
5. Nomination Method: Members of the Society shall submit the designated nomination form (Attachment 1) to the Society by the nomination deadline of the relevant fiscal year.
6. Award Presentation: Recipients will receive a certificate and supplementary prize from the President of the society.
Article 5 (Amendments) Amendments to these regulations shall be made through resolution by the Board of Directors.
Supplementary Provision These regulations shall come into effect from Oct 28th, 2024.
